Better Homes And Gardens Cubby House Competition
Porter Davis- 2013 Cubby House Challenge
Story
The Kids Under Cover Cubby House Challenge brings together members of the building industry to design, build and decorate highly creative and unique children's cubby houses.
We are so excited to be involved in this great fundraising event for the first time. Our designers Randall and Keith, together with our Cath from our Interior Design team have designed a pretty impressive cubby house "The Zimmer" shown below, that will bring out the big kid in all of us!
The Porter Davis apprentice team, together with various subcontractors and suppliers have constructed the cubby, which will be on display at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show from March 20 to 24.
You can help us to prevent youth homelessness by either;
- making a donation using the link below
- puchasing a raffle ticket to win a cubby designed by Better Homes & Gardens to the value of $10,000
- come along bidding on your favourite cubby house (our cubby of course- "The Zimmer"!) on Sunday, 24 March at 3pm.

Kids Under Cover
Being homeless can happen to anyone.
On any given night, there are more than 116,000 people experiencing homelessness in Australia and nearly half of these are under the age of 25.*
For more than 30 years, Kids Under Cover has been working to prevent youth homelessness.
We know that if young people are not properly supported when they first experience homelessness, they have a higher chance of becoming homeless in their adult lives. Around 40% of homeless adults were first homeless as young people.**
In our work, we focus on early identification and prevention of youth homelessness, creating a proactive rather than a reactive approach to this very complex issue. We do this by building homes and providing scholarships for homeless and at-risk young people.
